Pre-cultivate in March–April. Press the seeds onto the surface of moist seed compost without covering, or cover lightly with vermiculite. Cover with transparent plastic with ventilation holes. Place the sowing in the refrigerator for two weeks, then at room temperature. Transplant as needed into a slightly larger pot with nutrient-rich soil once the roots have reached the bottom of the pot. Plant out after hardening off when the risk of frost has passed.

Sowing depth: 0–0.5 cm
Germination time: 15–40 days
Plant spacing: 20–30 cm
